The June 2009 PHNDC general meeting will be open to the public so community members interested in finding out more about PHNDC's current projects will have an opportunity to hear updates and ask questions.

The North Flatbush Business Improvement District has secured the expertise of a landscape architect/urban planner to come up with a plan to improve the flow and functionality of Flatbush from Atlantic to Plaza Streets. A preliminary meeting was held on April 22, 2009 during which the firm offered preliminary ideas on what was possible and what other cities had done when confronted by similar circumstances.
A list of transportation projects in New York City to be funded in whole or in part with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act published by the Mayor's office includes the renovation of the Eastern Parkway median between Washington Avenue and Grand Army Plaza.
This project, started by a few dedicated residents of Eastern Parkway between Washington Avenue and Grand Army Plaza in collaboration with the Prospect Park Alliance, aims to restore the median and implement long-overdue safety measures.
