Construction started in April 2019 on 37 Sixth Avenue, the building slated to house the public middle school at the Pacific Park project (formerly Atlantic Yards), located at the northeast corner of Dean Street and Sixth Avenue. The school is currently planned to be ready for the 2022 school year.

In addition to a 640-seat middle school for Brooklyn’s District 13, 37 Sixth Avenue will also contain 323 rental apartments, with 30% of those expected to be affordable.
