Daffodil planting on Vanderbilt Avenue

Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force
Location:
Vanderbilt Avenue median
Between Prospect Place and St. Marks Avenue
United States
Description:

April is the month when our "hearts with pleasure fills, and dances with the daffodils." Sadly, some of the pleasure is muted this April because the Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force did not plant all of the daffodil bulbs the Parks Department entrusted to them in the fall.  They have been assured by the "Garden Know How Center" that if they plant the remaining bulbs now that some will bloom late and those that don't will bloom next year.

So if you can spare an hour (more or less) this Sunday, April 9th, around 2 pm, please join the Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force on the Vanderbilt Avenue median between Prospect Place and St. Marks Avenue to plant our remaining bulbs.

If you would rather take some bulbs and plant them in a different location that would be fine too. They just want to get the bulbs in the ground ASAP.

So please stop by the Vanderbilt Avenue median Sunday afternoon and together you'll help get those bulbs in the ground where they belong. Trowels will be provided!
